Ánō kátō pánta — everything upside down. A beautiful journey, long, intense and captivating, towards new islands and discoveries: stunning seas, vibrant festivals, authentic traditions. Sailing in flotilla, together, by day and by night. Endless.

From August 8th to 22nd, two weeks departing from Platania*, sailing through the Sporades Islands, the Chalkidiki peninsula of Kassandra, Sithonia and the sacred Mount Athos, and then on to the remote Limnos and the rugged Skyros. A long, rich and complex route, with beautiful and challenging passages to fully experience and navigate.

From August 22nd to 29th, one week to complete a truly remarkable itinerary. Fewer miles of sailing, but just as much beauty, departing again from Platania* to explore the Gulf of Volos, the island of Euboea and the Sporades, where the wind blows across magical islands of unique beauty — a Greece that will make you fall in love once again.

We will experience days filled with exciting sailing, long stops at anchor, endless swims, adventurous itineraries, sunset aperitifs and evenings of great celebration immersed in the unique atmosphere of the islands.

Platania is a small fishing harbour located on the Pelion peninsula, a perfect base for exploring this area, but it requires well-organized logistics. Please read carefully all the instructions on how to book.

It will be peak summer — perfect for long swims in a beautiful sea with stunning colors, full of caves to explore by dinghy and seabeds to discover with mask and fins.
EXCURSION
We will visit all the most beautiful places along our route. White houses, narrow alleys, monasteries, breathtaking views — a new island every day, each one more beautiful than the last.
MUSIC AND CELEBRATION
August is the season of traditional festivals, the vibrant and immersive panigiri: evenings of music and great food where we will join in and experience unforgettable celebrations.
FOOD & WINE
The Greek islands are a cornerstone of Mediterranean gastronomy. Both on board and in local tavernas, we will enjoy discovering, preparing and tasting the very best of Greek cuisine.

THE ROUTE
Plenty of sailing in a sea that is never ordinary to experience and explore. We will be in the heart of the Aegean Sea, where the Meltemi will certainly pay us a visit. It will be highly valuable to prepare for and adapt to different types of sailing, from the most relaxed to the more demanding, navigating between islands, channels, sheltered bays and stunning passages. Sailing here undoubtedly makes you a better sailor.
PLANNING
We will monitor weather updates and carefully plan each day’s route, reviewing nautical charts to assess distance, sailing conditions, passages, stops and shelter options.
SAILING
Whenever conditions allow, we will hoist the sails and navigate powered by the wind. Everyone will learn how to move on a sailing boat underway, and those who wish can take part in maneuvers and steer the boat.
MOORINGS AND ANCHORING
Each day we will anchor in different bays, practicing how to properly plan and execute anchoring maneuvers, even in crowded anchorages. In harbors, we will learn how to manage docking and departure maneuvers.
LIFE ON BOARD
Living on a boat requires organization and teamwork. We will learn what matters most to manage onboard life effectively, avoiding waste and living in harmony with others and with the environment.

Saremo a bordo di Hanse 508, barche nuove, bellissime e comodissime, con cinque cabine, tre bagni. Spazi esterni enormi con cuscineria prendisole, spazi interni comodi sia negli spazi comuni che in cabina. A bordo dotazioni complete e tutto quanto necessario a navigare e divertirsi a bordo.

What will be the embarkation and disembarkation base?
Our base will be Platania, a small fishing harbour located on the Pelion peninsula in mainland Greece, opposite the Sporades Islands.
How do I get there?
All you need to do is reach the island of Skiathos by 5:00 PM on the embarkation Saturday. From there, a taxi boat (included in the cruise pack) will take you directly to Platania. imbarco, da lì un taxi boat (compreso nel cruise pack) ti porterà direttamente all’imbarco di Platania.

Why this base and not directly Skiathos?
The availability of boats moored directly on the island is limited and generally of lower quality. Moreover, the island’s port is notoriously difficult and best avoided, both in terms of safety and overall experience. The usual alternative in the area would be Volos, but it is harder to reach and not well positioned for the route we intend to follow.
What will the weather be like?
Greece in August offers a wonderful climate, with long sunny days and sea temperatures perfect for extended swims in turquoise waters. However, it is a breezy area, so bringing a wind jacket is recommended, as it will help you stay comfortable while sailing.
I’m traveling alone — can I join?
Of course. All our activities are open to individual travelers as well as small groups — a fun way to sail and meet new people.
